Bloom + Grow began the way many meaningful things do: With a mother, a toddler, and a longing for connection.

As a young mom, Alison Sorbera dreamed of a place that felt both calm and inspiring. A space where her child could explore safely and joyfully, and where she could meet other caregivers navigating the same season of life.

She imagined a welcoming hub for families
… a beautiful, sensory-aware environment
… and a community where everyone, from parents to grandparents to nannies and therapists, could feel seen and supported.

Bloom and Grow Play Space grew from that simple hope:
To create a space that feels like an exhale. A place full of curiosity, connection, and the quiet joy of watching little ones bloom.

  • Our environment is thoughtfully designed for children ages 1–5, with calming, open-ended materials that support sensory-friendly exploration and imaginative play.

  • Bloom and Grow is intentionally slow-paced, sensory-aware, and grounded in natural, open-ended play. We focus on calm environments, real connection, and child-led exploration - not overstimulation. Every detail is chosen with safety, accessibility, and wellbeing in mind.

  • Absolutely. Our space was built for all abilities and needs. We use soft colours, gentle lighting, and spacious layouts to reduce overwhelm. All families, caregivers, and children are welcome, and we’re always happy to offer accommodations.

  • Bloom and Grow is a caregiver-supervised space, which means an adult (18+) must remain on-site and within view of their child during play at all times. We do not offer drop-off at this time.

    That said, our environment is intentionally designed so caregivers can relax while still supervising. That’s the heart of our mission! Exhale, sip a coffee, connect with others, or simply enjoy watching their child explore in a safe, supportive environment.

  • Our play invitations are open-ended and developmentally enriching: sensory bins, pretend play, building materials, creative setups, and gentle activities that encourage curiosity and imagination.

  • Yes. We offer sensory play sessions, creative workshops, caregiver–child classes, and early learning experiences. All aligned with child development best practices and our calm, intentional philosophy.

  • We welcome educators, therapists, nannies, and childcare professionals. Our environment is designed to support thoughtful, child-led interaction, and we offer booking options for small groups or sessions.

  • Yes. Bloom and Grow Play Space is fully insured as a children’s indoor play facility. Our coverage includes general liability and property insurance, so families can feel confident and protected while visiting.

  • Safety is a core value here. Our space is designed with wide sightlines, rounded corners, secure anchors, and low, accessible materials. We limit capacity to prevent overcrowding and allow caregivers to easily supervise their child. All play materials undergo regular safety checks and maintenance.

  • Yes. At least one staff member on site at all times is certified in infant and child first aid/CPR, with additional training in safety protocols and emergency preparedness.

  • We follow a strict, high-standard cleaning schedule.

    • Daily: Full cleaning and sanitizing of all high-touch surfaces and play areas

    • Between sessions: Quick resets, wiping down materials, and refreshing sensory items

    • Weekly: Deep cleaning, toy rotation, and equipment checks

    We use child-safe, non-toxic cleaners that meet health and safety guidelines.

  • All toys are cleaned on a rotating schedule. Hard toys are sanitized frequently throughout the day, while fabric or porous materials are laundered or replaced regularly. If a toy is mouthed or heavily used, it’s immediately removed for cleaning.

  • We kindly ask families to stay home if their child is unwell, showing symptoms, or recovering from illness. We’re happy to assist with rebooking whenever possible. Protecting our community is important to us.

  • Our environment is stroller-friendly, mobility-friendly, and designed to support a wide range of developmental needs. If you or your child require specific accommodations, just let us know. We’ll do everything we can to help.
